Examination and Assessment
Prathibha Puraskar – The academic year at RVK culminates with Pratibha Puraskar (Award Winning Ceremony) – the day when all those who have excelled in Academics achievement are lauded for their performance. It is an exciting day for the whole school family, including parents who come to see their children receive prizes for academics. This is an august function, definitely the most formal in our school calendar.
Srujan – Creativity @ its best On this special occasion, all the art & craft that the children have turned out during the course of the year is displayed along with some Science, Social Science, Languages and Computer items in an Exhibition spread out in the classrooms, which ends with the giving away of the most exciting prizes.
Fun Evenings – At the end of each half-term a ‘fun’ evening is arranged before the children go home. These ‘fun’ evenings have their special names and are thoroughly enjoyed as they give the children – and the teachers!! – the chance to ‘let down their hair’ after unit tests or terminal exams.
Birthday Celebrations – If children are in school for their birthdays, at the morning assembly, the whole student body, as well as the teachers, wish the birthday boy by chanting mrutyunjay mantra. After the School hour birthday boy is allowed to meet his parents.
Festival Celebrations – Since RVK is a completely secular school, we get to make the most of every religious festival that occurs when the children are in school. Thus, we celebrate Nag Panchami, we play Holi, enjoy breaking the curds pot on Gokulashtami, Ganesha festival and so on and have the special kinds of food for which these festivals are known. In this way students learn to respect the beliefs of the religions.
Science Academy – The members of the Science Academy, Dharwad are kind enough to address our students since its inception. The Academy has many resource persons in different streams, who deliver lectures once a month for our students to enhance their knowledge.
